About Burn Your Ideas!

» deutsch

Burn Your Ideas! – an emerging collection of unrealized ideas – shall be an environnment for the reanimation of unrealised ideas. We would like to focus our attention on those ideas which have been lying around in people’s heads and desk drawers for ages, ideas which have never been spoken out aloud out of fear of getting embarrassed, ideas that have been discarded, ideas that have been held back out of fear they could get stolen.

BYI! is a chance to share views on your ideas from different and unexpected angles, to open them and give them an impuls for transformation. http://burn.sonance.net will be a plattform to make your contribution visible – every participant will get personal access which allows her/him to post freely. More about this under participation.

Contributions (= your ideas published on this website) can be displayed in various forms: as a simple text, a drawing, a view lines of (programming-)code, a video, an audio-document. Each contributrion shall be discussed and its background shall be debated in detail. We assume them to be different from case to case.

Burn your ideas! is planned as an open research about the motivation for sharing or hiding of ideas. How do you deal with your ideas in common? Is there something like an “economy of the idea”? Or is the protection of your ideas in some way connected to the protection of your inner self?
We believe there may be a number of interesting questions, either of a very personal quality or commonly connected to socio-economic questions of our contemporary sphere of living.

In order to participate in the project 2 basic conditions have to be met:

  1. your idea must not have been realised in any form.
  2. contributions must be put under this CreativeCommons licence

More on this under terms and conditions.

We are aware that the selected licence reduces your rights as the author of your idea to a minimum (only your name has to be mentioned). Yet the project shall emphasise and endorse sharing and collaboration as much as possible. To make this possible it will certainly be necessary to negotiate on an interpersonal level.

We are looking forward to all people who are willing to get involved in this adventure!

Nichts geht verloren,
Nichts entsteht,
Alles verwandelt sich.
